Astrotheology: The Heavens Were Never Silent

Before the gods were men in books…
They were lights in the sky.

What we now call mythology—Zeus, Horus, Jesus, Krishna—was once astronomy told in code. A cosmic calendar turned into characters.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Astrotheology is the study of how religion, symbolism, and sacred stories are rooted in the stars.
It’s not anti-God.
It’s pre-dogma.

Start with the Sun. It rises in the East, “brings light to the world,” “walks on water” in its reflection, “dies” for three days during the winter solstice, and is “resurrected” on December 25th when the days begin to grow longer. Sound familiar?

Every year, the Sun moves through the Zodiac, visiting twelve constellations.
Twelve disciples.
Twelve tribes.
Twelve months.
Twelve labors.
The same pattern, over and over, under different names.

Ancient people weren’t primitive. They encoded time, nature, and transformation into story. They didn’t worship the stars—they learned from them. They used them as mirrors. They watched the heavens to understand the Earth.
“As above, so below.”

The Virgin? That’s Virgo, the constellation that rises before the Sun at harvest.
The Scales? Libra, marking judgment.
The Lamb of God? That’s Aries, ushering in spring and new life.

Christ isn’t canceled by this—it’s deeper than that. Jesus is the Sun and the Son. A cosmic allegory and a human metaphor.
It’s all about resurrection, renewal, inner ascension.

Astrotheology doesn’t disprove spirituality. It upgrades it.
It reminds you that scripture is symbolic.
That parables point inward.
That the cross is a solar wheel.
And that what you were taught to worship… was always written in the sky, waiting to be decoded.

We were never separate from the cosmos.
We are the cosmos, speaking in story.

The church hid this.
The ancients lived by it.

And now it’s coming back.

So next time someone quotes scripture, ask which star it’s based on.
And when someone says "follow the light"... look up.
