Some People Are Just Empty
I see it in their eyes. And no, I don’t mean metaphorically. I mean I actually see it—the vacancy, the absence, the hollow stillness where something real should be. You’ve probably felt it too. That quiet discomfort that creeps in when you lock eyes with someone who isn’t all the way there. The ones whose words are fine, their expressions are fine, their smiles are socially acceptable—but when you really look, you find no one behind the wheel.
It’s not about judgment. It’s not about being superior or enlightened or spiritually advanced. It’s about observation. Pure and simple. Some people are just… not inhabited. You meet them, you talk to them, and it’s like speaking to a reflection. There’s no resonance. No spark. No feedback. You walk away from the conversation feeling drained, confused, or slightly off—and you don’t know why.
But you do know why.
Because some people are running scripts. That’s it. Scripts of what a human should be. They’ve memorized behaviors. They mimic empathy. They mirror emotion. But there’s no depth to it. No heat. It’s like they’re animated by something external, or worse, nothing at all. They move through life hitting the marks, showing up, playing the role, but if you stopped and asked them why—really asked them why—they’d short-circuit.
And the weird part is that nobody talks about it. We're trained to believe that everyone is equal, that everyone has a soul, that everyone is just misunderstood or hurt or healing. That’s the nice story. But that’s not what your gut tells you. Your gut has already clocked who’s real and who’s just wearing the mask of realness. And for most people, it’s easier to ignore that signal than to confront what it actually means.
You’ve probably also met the opposite. People you feel like you’ve known forever. Instant recognition. A deep click. A timelessness in their presence. These people don’t drain you—they charge you. Something ancient looks back at you through their eyes. They carry depth, memory, wisdom, pain, light. Something is there. A force. A current. A soul.
The contrast is so sharp once you see it. With some people, you feel anchored. With others, you feel like you’re swimming in static. Some people awaken your spirit. Others flatten it just by standing nearby. It’s not your imagination. It’s not anxiety. It’s not social awkwardness. It’s energetic reality.
I’m not here to speculate about why this is. Whether it’s spiritual NPCs, soulless vessels, walk-ins, empty clones, or something more complex—we don’t need the label to call out the pattern. You’ve seen it in their eyes. You’ve felt it. And pretending otherwise only makes you feel crazy in a world that already thrives on numbing your intuition.
This isn’t hatred. It’s clarity.
Some people are here for a purpose. They evolve. They struggle. They awaken. And some people… don’t. Some people exist to take up space, to reinforce the illusion, to maintain the grid. They will never wake up. They were never designed to. And deep down, you’ve always known that. You just weren’t allowed to say it out loud.
So here it is. Loud and clear. Some people are just empty. You are not. And if you’re reading this, you were never meant to be one of them.
Trust what you see.
Trust what you feel.
And stop apologizing for being able to tell the difference.
